By Amber, on January 11th, 2011% I have officially attended two yoga classes in a row! I’m feeling very relaxed, flexible, and zen…and SORE! Oh man. Getting back into shape hurts.
Ian and I went to yoga Sunday morning, despite the steadily falling snow. The instructor scheduled to teach the class slid into a ditch on her drive over, so we had a substitute (I feel for her! Subbing any class is hard work!). The poor sub was not super familiar with yoga, but she did a wonderful job. By Amber, on January 8th, 2011% Wow! The spring school semester started this week and I am completely wiped out! My long term substitute position (I’m covering a maternity leave) started Monday. After subbing for a full semester, I kind of forgot how demanding full-time teaching is. Out of sight, out of mind. But I’m so excited to be “back in the trenches” teaching, planning, grading, and classroom managing.
I’m so fortunate because the woman whose class I am covering is allowing me to create my own lesson plans. She provided me with a list of subjects and literature she would like me . . . → keep reading
By Amber, on January 2nd, 2011% Happy New Year! I am so excited for 2011. A new year means new beginnings, new opportunities, and new adventures. I’m looking forward to what the year has in store and so hopeful for a prosperous and happy 2011.
Last year, Ian and I spent New Year’s Eve on a plane headed to Italy where we would spend the next 90 days living and exploring. It was quite a way to start 2010!
